People often ask why I offer York Food Intolerance Testing.
The answer is simple...
Because I've been on the journey myself.
Over the years I've used several food intolerance tests to monitor my progress, but when it came to choosing one to offer my clients, YorkTest stood out.
The reason wasn't just the number of foods tested (208 foods and drinks), it was the report itself. The traffic light system is clear, easy to understand and gives people practical information they can actually use.
My Story
When I first tested in 2022, I wasn't looking for a quick fix.
I wanted to understand what might be contributing to symptoms like fatigue, digestive discomfort and skin flare-ups.
Rather than seeing my results as a list of foods I could never eat again, I used them as a guide while I focused on improving my nutrition and supporting my gut health.
Over the following four years, I repeated the test.
Looking back at my reports today, it's amazing to see how much has changed.
Many of the foods that were once highly reactive are no longer an issue, and overall my results have improved significantly.
But the biggest change isn't on paper.
It's how I feel.
I have more energy, my digestion is better, my skin is healthier and I simply feel better than I did four years ago.
Progress, Not Perfection
One thing hasn't changed.
Yeast has remained highly reactive throughout all three of my tests.
And strangely, I'm okay with that.
It's reminded me that health isn't about chasing the perfect report.
It's about understanding your own body.
It's also worth saying that a high yeast result doesn't mean Candida or a yeast infection. It simply shows that yeast continues to be one of the foods my immune system reacts to.
It's Not About What You Can't Eat
This is something I say to every client.
Don't focus on what you can't eat. Focus on everything you can.
Food intolerance testing isn't about creating fear around food.
It's about making informed choices.
For me, the report became a roadmap, not a rulebook. It helped me understand where to start, while still enjoying a varied, nourishing diet.
Why I Chose YorkTest
Having experienced different tests over the years, YorkTest is the one I trust.
The reports are simple, the traffic light system is easy to follow, and it's a fantastic starting point for anyone wanting to understand how food may be affecting the way they feel.
Everyone's journey will be different.
My results won't be the same as yours.
But if you're struggling with ongoing bloating, fatigue, digestive issues or unexplained skin concerns, it may be worth exploring whether food intolerances are part of the picture.
Food shouldn't be feared. It should be enjoyed.
